—  About

Francis Carson is a photographer originally from the sun-kissed groves of Florida’s Indian River.

I was born and live in Queens, New York and previously lived in Manhattan. While attending high school at Saint Francis Preparatory, I discovered my love for photography through several art classes I was taking. When I was 16 began to start exploring parts of my town to photograph. My passion started in photographing abandoned and decayed buildings and making stories for these places I was shooting.

After taking a pre-college course at SVA, I explored other types of photography and became especially interested in documentary and street photography. My love for abandoned and raw things is still very noticeable throughout my photography. My love for photography grew after exploring analog processes and developing in my apartment. I still shoot mainly on digital but always tend to have a film camera on me. While living in Manhattan i attended New York Film Academy and graduated with a 1 Year Conservatory in Photography Certificate.
